I had been having some serious issues with my Gall bladder, after numerous meetings with my own doctors, i was finally put in touch with Prof Lloyd, he was excellent from the first consultation, through to surgery and after care, he fully explained the process involved and his team on the day of surgery was fantastic, from the team on the ward, who made sure I was ok, a great pre op meeting with the Anesthetist, who again fully explained the process and what he was going to do, The operation itself went great and at the follow up consultation , again everything was explained and throughout the whole process I was at ease.

I had been suffering with an inguinal hernia for years, and finally decided that something had to be done when a second hernia appeared earlier this year. After extensive research I opted to see Professor Lloyd and he performed a laparoscopic procedure on both hernias two weeks ago. I am absolutely delighted with the results, and can now get on with life not being ruled by those nasty hernias ! The level of care and attention received from Professor Lloyd was excellent, from the initial consultation right through to today’s follow up appointment. He explained everything very clearly, and answered any questions I had, putting me completely at ease. I am so glad I was under the care of such a skilled and competent surgeon and would definitely recommend Professor Lloyd to anyone who is considering this type of surgery.

I had a large central embedded splenic cyst, non cancerous. I live in Essex and was unable to find an experienced surgeon who could perform the operation, after an extensive wait on the NHS In my area, with an inexperienced surgeon regarding splenic cysts. I did some research and found Professor David Lloyd who is very experienced with this operation and decided to go with him, the best decision I have ever made. There was no waiting time, every question I had was answered either by him or his secretary, in a professional and very helpful way. Due to the location of the cyst on my spleen there was only a very small chance that I could keep my spleen. Because of his great skill, high competence and his determination he was able preserve enough of my spleen and produce the best possible outcome for me. I have no hesitation in recommending him to perform this type of operation.

Professor Lloyd provided an outstanding service from start to finish to remove my Gallbladder. He listened to me and reassured me at each stage of the process. I was admitted to hospital within 3 weeks of my initial consultation and was discharged the day after my operation. The follow up care was exceptional and my pain and all symptoms have now gone.
